I was unfamiliar, so I did a cursory bit of research. Sounds very cool! But the tech costs 20 - 100k, so I’m assuming it’s very technically difficult to assemble yourself. Good luck
so there a lot of reasons why those can be expensive. higher sensitivity, more frequency range, built in library. there’s enough open source hardware to make this 250 dollar item webcam based spectrometer worth it.
