(Possibly a nooby question.)

I was watching Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and as always I instinctively went to the brightness button on my keyboard, but it was already on maximum. Why tf to they often make TV shows so damn dark nowadays?? D:

Is there please some sort of program or app for Linux Mint to make it the video a bit more brighter? I’m not exactly a tech savvy person, so I won’t be able to do anything overly elaborate.

    They mix it for the bleeding edge tech they have to watch it…

    But there’s a lot more setting than brightness, mess around with gamma and contrast too. Your monitor/tv likely has different presets. Find one that’s close then fine tune it

      They mix it for the bleeding edge tech they have to watch it…

      They know that most people are watching on crappy TVs, laptops etc. and take that into account. They don’t always do a good job of it, but it’s not because they only produce it for studio monitors.
