    What the heck are you guys being shown on your news? Yeah there are a couple places with high addiction rates but its not as rampant as the media makes it out to be

      Europeans see your nation like a third world shithole, like Russia. Abortion is illegal, you get like no time off work, no paid sick leave, shitloads of drug deaths, and everyone is shooting people who have the least to blame. At least Luigi was going in the right direction.

          Hell, I’m from a third world “shit hole” country and I actually prefer it here over moving to the US. At least people treat me like an actual human being here.

      Yeah, there are good places and bad places everywhere. That’s why we invented statistics, to figure out the differences (or lack thereof) between big messy groups of data points.

      I live in a very pleasant suburban neighborhood in the US. I don’t ever see addicts zoning out like in the OP. But that doesn’t mean I should pretend that the problem doesn’t exist. That’s what my conservative family members like to do.
