One of my highschool teachers said this and it has stuck with me for so many years, because it’s true
The One Child Policy wasn’t what broke Chinese demographics. It simply accelerated a demographic shift that would have happened on its own anyway
Ppl were crafty, so there were always ways around it… But then if ppl were like my parents who didn’t even want the first child anyway, then yeah they’d be nudged to not have the second
So I do not have siblings
