I thought lesbian was a person born with a pussy only being attracted to other people only born with a pussy and what you’re talking about is a pansexual or sapphic person? At least, that’s what they taught me in college lol(more than 10 years ago now in freshman year). I do choose to troll when I’m posting/commenting in this community but I’m earnestly confused. If you’re just gonna tell me to read more or know better, recommend some specific literature or media so I can do that, please.

That’s not how it was originally defined to me, but I’m not going to police terms. Of course, when I learned terms was before the gender and sexuality explosion on tumblr, so I might be out of date. I don’t commonly interact with anyone IRL that identifies as a lesbian, ATM.

So pansexual is an outdated term? Straight, gay, asexual and bisexual are back. Assuming you remove the trans prefix and everyone’s chosen gender is blanket applied. Or pansexual would strictly apply to a person attracted to non binary people? I don’t care what people do, everyone gets my respect until they lose it. I just want to understand current correct terminology so speak meaningfully.

Pansexual still refers to the gender. Same with bisexual and straight people. One might be more specific like “only cis straight” (I know it sounds horrible, but couldn’t think of a better naming), but they all generally apply to the gender when used as broader terms.
