Beehaw defederating Lemmy.world doesn’t mean much for Lemmy.world because they haven’t defederated beehaw. Users on Lemmy.world can still see posts and comments from beehaw, but users on beehaw cannot see posts and comments from Lemmy.world.
The only issue for users on Lemmy.world is that if we comment on a post on beehaw, none of the users on beehaw can see it. Users from other instances can though.
No they cannot. Only interactions within .world work, as they are interacting with a cached copy of beehaw communities. They can post and comment, but ONLY amongst themselves. Their posts and comments are not going out to, or being seen by, other isntances, as their distribution would have to be going out to other instances, VIA beehaw.
Check again, all those new interactions, are only coming from users inside .world.
