Does it offer anything more? Currently running a minimal archlinux installation and for what I have seen, the packages are really heavy. In fairness, I will just install steam and discord using flathub so I don’t see much improvement from the official repos or the AUR.
It’s just the fact that it’s global and if it becomes the main then it’ll make it much easier and safer for both the people downloading these packages and the ones packaging it.
I would like to try flatpacks but because they come bundled with their dependencies, they end up wasting storage space
Their dependencies are shared so the more you install the better it is in that regard.
