So I click the link. It opens in a webview. I see @[email protected] there so copy it. I go back out of the webview so I can see my search button. I paste that link in there. “This sub has no posts…retry”

I don’t think Lemmy search works for anything but communities. You’re trying to use the search to look for a user profile.
It’s also a mastodon account, which might not be supported by Lemmy apps?
