They did show UI, at least the health bar and the “super” bar below it. No mini-map or quest info, but that could just be because it’s very early in the game. Though it is possible they hid most of it too.
I noticed that too, felt a bit weird, but I can see both sides of it. You do need to gamify some elements. Using blood on body as a gamified element to show health kind of makes sense. But I know that some people care a lot about and these things breaks the immersion for them. Hope there is some setting for that.
