This was a few weeks ago. Caught this guy coming out into the open looking for food. Not sure if you can see because of the reflection on the water but he is staring directly at a family of ducks that were swimming nearby.
I hear the coyotes all the time howling, but this was the first time I was able to actually see one, and I think it resulted in a pretty good picture!

It’s not all foxes, just red foxes.
Coyotes are also attracted to menstruating dogs, and will often eat them or just their liver…
But we still see coyote dog hybrids too.

The article you sent me is about red wolves not red foxes. Coyotes and dogs are in the same genus and even then their offspring are less fertile than the parents. Coyotes generally breed dogs and then kill them when go back into heat. Dogs and wolves and coyotes are all similar to each other but the foxes are dissimilar.
