I am sorry, I am not trying to attack you. Just pointing out how other people see things. You think that everyone is preventing you from saying valid criticism when in reality you just come off as someone with latent racism.
The fact that you grew up in a racist environment only reinforces my opinion of you. I am glad to hear you have taken some steps away from the toxic culture you grew up in.

But why? I’m still dumbfounded. Your answer perfectly plays into my initial argument that I can shit on every religion, but if I say those literally same words against Muslims, then I’m not anti-religion, suddenly I’m racist. You never argued against that point, I felt like you constantly tried to gaslight me.
That Lemmy is left leaning and they can see through your veiled attacks on Muslims as racist and not anti-religion? I think this is clear even if you disagree with it.
Or are you dumbfounded because based upon what you have said I feel you have latent racism you have never confronted? This is my opinion based upon our interaction.
Why are you so afraid of racism? Everyone is somewhat racist so it is not a big deal honestly. You even admit you have taken steps to distance yourself from it so you recognize it. That is a good thing.
You may need some more work on deprogramming yourself from decades of ingrained racism. There is no shame in this. I think you are being a little dishonest trying to shift your problem onto the community. It is totally understandable though.
Essentially I see this as a “everyone else is wrong/the problem” situation. This means either your right (not likely) or there is something else going on (more likely).

Alright, I challenge you to criticize religions. I will then ask you to verify if said criticism applies to Islam. If you say yes, I can call you racist. This is how I see this whole argument.
Why are you so afraid of racism?
For starters - religion is not a race. Sure, you could say it’s notoriously Asian, but it is followed by every race.
I already know how you see the argument. How has that been working out for you?
As to your other comment. This harkens back to my original musing that you haven’t spent a lot of time talking about this hence why you keep playing sophomoric cards.
You are pretty much the only person I’ve ever had this conversation with. I’m staying with “this guy misinterpreted me and assumed I have some different agenda or hidden motives/hate towards something else, therefore everything he said is not meant to be taken literally, but I should look for hidden psychological signs that could support my assumptions”

Nothing I said is stupid, it is quite logical. You are overthinking this. You literally proved my point with this conversation, but you will never understand it, because you are what I’m talking about.
Thank you (as I will be archiving this for further discussions with others in my … uhh, brainstorming group, no clue how to translate it. Want to get more objective opinion) and I wish you great day too.
I never said I’ve been shut down. I said I’ve noticed the phenomenon around. Critics of Islam tend to be attacked as racists or bigots. Intellectually lazy counter-argument that’s trying to gaslight people instead of counter-arguing the argument itself.
