So its day 10 tomorrow, and Kotoeiho at M7 is on 8-1, and is facing M12 Abi. Same deal with Shishi BTW, 8-1, and facing M12 Asahakuryu tomorrow. When are they gonna match these guys up with the ones who will slap them down? Is day 10 too early for that?
I’m not too sure how they do the match ups in detail, but I know that if there’s the possibility of a yusho they get bumped up to fight the upper ranks. When Takerufuji was 8-0 they started moving him up the ranks starting just after that. I don’t know if it’s more difficult to do the match making when there are multiple people with top records like the 3 guys with 8-1 you mentioned. Also if someone in low ranks has a 2nd place record I don’t know how they handle that either.
Maybe we’ll find out this time if we keep an eye on the Shishi and Kotoeiho schedules.
