Those are the two best episodes, hands down. Its like the writers were finally told to take off the restraints and do something fun because it didn’t matter anymore, and they smashed it out of the park.
I do love enterprise. It’s a little sad that it’s high point is an alternate universe. But like, most of the series is “the crew gives Archer their best advice, which he ignores, and creates a problem for everyone.”
And not just the writing. So many of the second line characters that had been nothing but cardboard the whole series suddenly bloomed. I had really been questioning the ability of some of the performers on my first watch through, but it turns out it was a script/direction/production problem because they all suddenly came to life when the gloves came off.
