    They can’t just say “over 19 million eggs” instead of “nearly 1.6 million dozen eggs”?

    Especially when the article photo shows a carton of six eggs instead of a dozen?

      Saying it in dozens reduces the perceived impact I guess… They want less egg on their face it seems.

        And then showing a photo of a half-carton further reduces the perceived impact.

        As well as being able to use the modifier “nearly” instead of “over”.

      Or 1.6 million egg 12 packs were recalled would make the most sense because wtf is 1.6 million dozen. The six pack in the picture definitely makes this more confusing.
