Midwest Poultry Services, L.P. is voluntarily recalling 1,589,577 dozen white shell eggs and brown cage free shell eggs produced in Texas.

They can’t just say “over 19 million eggs” instead of “nearly 1.6 million dozen eggs”?
Especially when the article photo shows a carton of six eggs instead of a dozen?
Saying it in dozens reduces the perceived impact I guess… They want less egg on their face it seems.
And then showing a photo of a half-carton further reduces the perceived impact.
As well as being able to use the modifier “nearly” instead of “over”.
