“it’s not enough to get Sony to stop” some may say. However, it’s better to do something than do nothing. You can defend Sony all you want, but they need to get called out with their bullshit

Sony is becoming a console mid-market monopoly… eventually consumers will cave because there will be no alternative.

The free market works when there’s competition. If you want your money to do more, then give it to the competition.

Nintendo, xbox, and PC still exist. Personally I think the end of consoles is really whats going to happen. The only thing keeping consoles going are exclusives and we barely get those anymore. I think the PS5 only had like 13 and has decreased with every system. I love consoles and loved the PS5, but the way this is going even I don’t think I will buy the PS6. I can’t be the only one who feels that way either.

I personally stopped at PS4 when it was announced they were splitting the models between having disc drives and not. The Switch 2 is also a hard no for me due to a lot of its game cartridges acting as a download key rather than having any software onboard. Not being able to own anything is such a dick anti consumer move but it’s what the companies and average customers want due to the convenience of downloading. From now on it’s just emulation and Steam. RIP consoles, you’ve had a good run.

As much as I am not enjoying the ending of this console, I was a big fan of the ps5 and still am from a cost and hardware perspective. At the time of it’s release i was really trying to figure out if I should get a new PC or the PS5 at the time. I decided on the ps5 because at that time PC GPU prices were nuts so the ps5 value was such a great value at the time. I also got the disc version and happy I did. Despite not really buying many games on disc at the beginning out of convenience, I have been doing so more in the last year now that most games I can get used at a fraction of the cost plus my friend buys everything and lets me borrow whatever as long as he is not playing it. I eventually got my new PC 3 years later right when prices finally took a dive and thankfully right before this new crisis started.
