the point is, there are proselytizing atheists out there, and OPs sarcasm isn’t correct, the things they are saying would be ridiculous to happen are happening.
And yet I’ve never once noticed an atheist street preacher and have seen fucking countless Christian ones. There may be some atheists being shitty out there but I don’t quite get dying on the hill of comparing the two extremes at all.
The point is that this community should be a refuge for atheists and a secular place that breeds mutual respect between you guys and other secular people, some of which are of faith, instead of becoming the turbo fedora that was /r/atheism.
What’s funny is I have literally never even considered myself an atheist, I’m an agnostic. And I would agree that some atheists are jerks or at least too intense about their lack of belief. But I can also take a valid point, such as the one from the original post here.
