Enlisted recruits are barely more than indentured servants under modern US law. There’s really no depravity the state can’t subject you to while on deployment. And no way to escape from mandatory re-enlistment under Stop-Loss policy.

Maybe military servicemen would be treated better if they had they same kind of union representation as postal carriers and cops.

Maybe the self-proclaimed labor-friendly Dems need to talk about giving soldiers the right to withhold their labor and negotiate proper terms with their employers.
