I think the DNC’s problem is that most people who listen to him for more than a few minutes end up feeling the opposite to you… Otherwise this situation wouldn’t have arisen in the first place.

The DNC’s problem with him is that he’s a progressive.

With few exceptions, democrats are the money party. And the money party does not like public health, public education, or public transit.

Well progressive and mildly influential. There are plenty of other lefty streamers that don’t get personal attention from the corporate Democrats.

Even Kyle Kulinski and Sam Seder generally don’t get any heat, let alone Riverboat Jack.

Most people have awful taste. I can remember being a gooberish little Berniebro about 10 years ago when nepo hire Piker was just starting to produce for TYT. He was consistently the worst commentator on the network. He went on to become an Amazon-affiliated Twitch streamer and AFAICT makes a pretty good grift job taking money from 19 year olds who wish they had the attention span to read Nabokov

What do you think is the net outcome of Piker’s interactions with politics are at the moment (e.g. recently, and up to the midterms)?

Useful idiots; short-term good, long-term remains unclear.

This is most of the reason why I keep my opinion to myself every time I see his name crop up every day but I think that he is specifically a horrible person to represent the movement and a good example of just how impossible it is to maintain quality the larger your target audience is.

Who would be a better person? Or what qualities would they have?
