What they managed to do is to weaponized his death toward their advantage, spreading pictures of him dying makes someone who didn’t know what he was preaching, disgusted. I think this kind of memes help this.
I personally like the ones which says that it was congratulating him on not saying anything hateful for a year, but frankly I would just love of he would move into obscurity, which is what he deserves.
My only regret about his death is that he got to die doing what he loved: deflecting questions about gun violence with racist dog whistles so overused they’ve become bullhorns
