Especially on the right, there are a lot of Americans that have this attitude that their “common sense” trumps actual expertise, knowledge, education, credentials, etc., and this childish attitude of “you cannot tell ME what to do” to go with it. This last part, even though they are herded into this thinking, they often confuse with rugged individualism or something, LOL.
And the republicons have done a lot to make him an expert that you are supposed to hate.
