What should be the talking point is a bunch of MAMIL’s feeling like they are entitled to an entire roadway, when they could easily coexist by keeping right and leaving the other lane open.

IN my many many decades I’ve never seen anything but police match speed and drive abreast to become a rolling barricade…and that was only to bring traffic to a halt due to an accident up a head.
This isn’t a rolling barricade it’s just a critical mass of cyclists. When there’s enough car traffic to bring travel to a crawl we don’t call it a rolling barricade we just call it throughput capacity.
I used to do that during stop and go traffic, after I saw a couple semis doing it. If you can gauge the average speed of traffic and smooth out the irregularities, everyone gets there at the same time, but we all have a much more relaxed drive.
Now I ride a motorcycle so I can simply go around/between traffic.

That is strictly an interstate highway standard. This is a local stroad in Florida. Keep right unless passing does not apply here.
If we want to be really pedantic then yes Florida is one of the states that actually has a law for keep right on any multilane road, including the one in the video

Like it’s not hard to recognize biking is a great mode of transportation but you should not block the entire roadway for others when doing so

At the end of the day the club is in the wrong, the car driving in the head is in the wrong. There’s no need to make it good guy vs bad guy when both parties are doing things wrong

The group cycling standrad is every 2 together, and at the end a relay protection car behind the whole group. Even if they were 60 or 100 they can still ride in 2s and only take 1 side of the road.

Don’t be a lead huffer. Cars never give way to cyclists in such a manner, no matter how slow their traffic, nor would they ever be expected to. Just like much of the rest of the country, cyclists are every bit as entitled to a safe and full lane as any other road user and nobody except an emergency responder should ever feel entitled to others moving out of their way.
It doesn’t matter if cars give way to 2 wheelers because we can simply go around them. Though in the US its not terribly uncommon for crab-bucket brained drivers to try to block bikes from filtering at red lights.

Blocking someone or yelling at them isn’t a threat of violence, its just assholish behavior.
But moving your car in a manner to threaten bodily harm if they’re to pass, outside of normal operation, is assault or intimidation depending on where you do it.

It’s also on the immediate approach to a short but narrow causeway, I imagine the group bunched up intentionally so that they could stay together across it rather than getting buzzed by a bunch of trucks and pushed into the ocean.
