Fun fact: Italian “well mannered” people are expected to eat pizza with fork and knife, exactly because eating with hands is considered gross by “eating etiquette experts” (I have no idea how to call people judging other people own businesses)

In practice, you guys are eating pizza like poor people, what a shame!! /s

Fun fact: no italian has ever ate pizza with a fork and knife. The only time when these 3 things should be togheter is when cutting the pizza (surprisingly, pizza cutters are fairly uncommon ).

If you see an “italian” eating pizza with a fork, they arent italian, they are sicilian

I am Italian. It’s relatively common to see people eating pizza with fork and knife.

You’d for sure never see a “Giovanni Agnelli” type of person eating pizza with hands. They don’t mix with plebs…

But also a plebeian like me eats pizza with fork and knife sometimes, it’s pretty normal, nobody judges. Depends on the mood for me.

But galateo (italian etiquette) prescribes fork and knife https://www.lacucinaitaliana.it/news/cucina/come-mangiare-la-pizza-mani-o-posate/

I am pretty sure the “signora bene dei parioli” uses silver cutlery to eat pizza
