Miami’s focus is Portland superstar Damian Lillard with the genuine belief this could be the offseason the veteran guard seeks a change of scenery, league sources tell @nbaontnt, @bleacherreport.

If Miami could get him they’d be pretty scary finally having a second player who can consistently shoulder the offensive load from Jimmy.

But what would Miami have to give up? Picks and there needs to be some salary to match. Shouldn’t be cheap, their depth was a big strength.

Yeah, but lot of the guys were still role players at the end of the day, and as far as Miami got they went back to an 8th seed caliber team with them being like 2-7 over the last 9 games with I think no home games won during that span. Their three point shooting went crazy at the right time, but it’s still a stars league. I’m guessing they’d try to move Herro and would keep only Jimmy and Bam untouchable. But, matching salaries will be the challenge, and offering anything Portland would actually want.

Miami has also been burnt buying into their own success of handing out contracts to players that turned out to have over performed like Hassan Whiteside and Duncan Robinson.

Duncan Robinson earned that paycheck during these playoffs, honestly.

Miami has tons of salary they can send back. Lowry, Robinson, Herro.
