well the US one is wildly more popular in every country(especially with streaming now), so i think it’s fair that “The Office” refers to the US one. In fact there was another TV show called The Office before the Ricky Gervais one, but people don’t refer to that when they mean “The Office” either.
Also when they said “Michael Scott” and “The office” in the same sentence, that’s pretty clear.

In the American version the branch managers name is Michael
Isn’t the America version called “The Office - An American Workplace” as opposed to just “The Office” like the original? People need to delineate.
Nope same exact title. Though they’ll usually have US or UK in parenthesis.
