What if they officially shoveled the product, proclaim bankruptcy and sold their company and all assets, transfer all employees to a brand new company owned by the same people?
I assume there are some limitations that make sure this can happen but there are always loopholes.
Stopping development of the game without meeting certain conditions might be breach of contract and come with quite a sum, but I’m just guessing at this point. Either way it sounds like it’d be a nightmare in paperwork and would sour their reputation
Nope, those deals have been inked, so are still in effect.
It’s just that any future use of the IP can be made by anyone.
