    The fun thing is with the rise of “smart” thermostats other people get to control your thermostat! Good bye 70 degrees year round. You will save a few bucks though I guess.

        What are you talking about? Last summer there was all sorts of articles in colorado of thermostats displaying messages about energy savings and setting themselves to 78 degrees. Many states have these programs.

          The only time my smart thermostat changes temperature without me programming it is when a demon gets in there and it’s nothing a routine exorcism can’t fix.

            My power company changed mine until i unsubscribed to the “rate reduction” program and then changed my t-stat to a non-wifi model.
