      We should demand a refund of $15 million from Spain and give them Florida back in return. Honestly, it would be worth $15 billion.

            From every experience I ha e had with the French, it has always been very pleasant. Rudest people I have met are the Chinese, British and American tourists.

              It just seems like holdover from the Iraq invasion when they were, you know, right.

                It’s definitely older than that. I remember French jokes going back decades before. They’ve always been a punching bag in America’s eyes. “The French are smelly.” “The French are snobby.” “The French are cowards.” If I had to guess, it probably goes back to WWII and their occupation by the Nazis.

          I’m just loving the AI’s attempts at written language. It’s getting better but it’s still not close.

            And it’s so lazy. You could get .pngs of all of that stuff and just stack them up in PS and throw on a sepia filter and it would look better after 5 minutes of work. AIs like this have just made people lazy. I’ve seen people talk about using Chat GPT to do Algebra 1 math. Literally any basic search engine will be just as effective and you might actually learn something but people are so determined to make AI something they can rely on. /rant

              I completely agree. My employer has been encouraging the use of chat GPT as a starting point for client deliverables. Since it literally makes things up, you still have to spend time verifying everything, which takes as long or longer than just doing everything yourself, plus you’ll have familiarity for that topic in the future.
