My favourite Reddit app, Infinity, just popped a message this morning saying as of July 1, they’re going subscription.
While I understand, I’m not paying to use Reddit. Even if I did, my understanding is that NFSW content won’t be available, and, let’s be honest, that’s half the usefulness of Reddit.
So, Lemmy it is! And so far, I’ve got no complaints.
Did they say how much is going to be for their suscription? not planning on buying but I’m curious as to how much per user is sustainable for 3rd party apps
I almost feel bad for him, that’s going to be a losing battle both financially and because at this point Reddit doesn’t have very much of a future.
Especially financially since we all know that there are going to be plenty of people who might use it without paying for it (cracked apps, while not as common as they used to be are still definitely a thing).
