I would bet that his parents are sexual abusers.

And what guarantees that, exactly? Is this another instance of Lemmy being an expert on other people’s lives and/or psychology without an inkling of proof?

Bro try Google. It’s good to be skeptical but it’s not good to just unilaterally deny people’s assertions.

You can look into this relationship yourself. It is well studied and well understood. Just because you aren’t aware of it doesn’t make it not true.

You’re also the one that suggested a parental link to begin with. Kindly fuck off.

I’ll tell you now that there is no response you can give that I will entertain. You need say less and read more.

Bro what? How any more cluelessly condescending can you get? This is not a case of looking it up but of drawing conclusions out of nowhere. Do you just look up whatever phenomenon and apply it to every situation in your life? Is that who this works?

You’re also the one that suggested a parental link to begin with. Kindly fuck off.

I did no such thing, but please quote me.

You can look into this relationship yourself. It is well studied and well understood.

And it’s the parents’ fault? Are you sure about that? What if it was somebody else? What then? What if in this particular case that’s simply not the case? It’s certainly possible as well. The article doesn’t give you any details to go off on and yet we’re here drawing conclusions based on a generality. Why is that? Why don’t you go look up details about the case yourself and substantiate those claims? You know, following the burden of proof and all. I’m not gonna do your homework.

Or maybe you should look up burden of proof instead. Because it seems like you’re the one who needs to learn not to jump to conclusions out of thin air.

it’s not good to just unilaterally deny people’s assertions

And I’d argue that it’s more harmful to accuse people without reason, especially about sexual assault. You’re just turning people against others because you “guessed”.

And just for the record, and in the case that a parent was indeed molesting the kid in retrospect, it does not exonerate anybody drawing up random accusations.

So kindly, and reciprocally, fuck off yourself.

Did I? Is that the actual point I’m making? Because my stance is that there other possibilities here including that that maybe it was somebody else, that maybe it was only one parent, or maybe nobody did anything to the 14 year-old. We just don’t know.

Why is it acceptable to be speculating about the parents who may themselves be innocent? This is some toxic-ass behavior from this community that I can only describe as speculation assassination, meaning that you’re tarnishing the reputation of someone simply by following a hunch.

Does any of this not cross your mind? Because you’re awfully condescending about something I already know and did consider and yet you’re not showing signs of critical thinking yourself.
