Since when has Russia ever been a leftist state, oh right, never. It was an authoritarian state during the USSR that called itself communist. Now it is a “democratic” authoritarian state. Sweden which is a socialist democracy is far closer to socialism than the USSR ever was, and it’s a wonderful country. I had members on my team that lived there.
