    We’re going to spend a half million dollars investigating who cut someone’s hair.

    It was likely an accident in an over worked hospital but now we’re going to make sure we make this political.

      Plus, hair is a known source of infections. It is routine to shave hairs in hospitals, as a preventive measure.

      This isn’t anything new either, the shaolin monks (among others) notoriously shave to prevent infections in open wounds and cuts.

      It’s sad for the person’s hair, as apparently it was a big part of their identity, but if it comes down to receiving care or keeping the hair, a choice has been made. It’s a bit disingenuous to complain about the way you were saved, after being saved…

        If this was a Sikh man the hair likely would have remained because religious reasons. The moment the guy’s indigenous and they no longer care about those same reasons

          Yeah in this case that’s just wrong. Medicine is science, and science is independent of religion. So that really shouldn’t be the case…
