minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink2•1 year agoYou can buy a lot of gas for the premium you’d pay but buying a brand new car. Every time I run the numbers to buy a new car vs keeping my 2014 Taco, the Taco wins, even with its abysmal gas mileage.
minus-squareKptnAutismuslink1•1 year agonow imagine that with a 20 year old car whose engine regularly gets 400k km and gets up to 40mpg (around 5-6L/100km). and did i mention that i paid 2000€ for it? why would i now spend 50-100k on an electric car that lasts 20 years tops?
