2021 for me. Was so bad, the pandemic was background noise. Lot of death coupled with natural disasters and basically losing everything and people that shaped my life. All in 6 different major events in 5 months. Got everyone through it, though. Only after enough time of feeling safe for almost a year was I able to feel vulnerable enough to break down and get enough of it out.

I’ll always love 2021 because it shattered me and I recollected into a person that can’t even connect with their past self anymore. When bad things happen, I feel so lucky that I’m fortunate enough to be experiencing it. It’s hard to explain, but experiencing all life has to offer is fulfilling.

My 2021 was the same. Unbelievable amount of loss that impacted nearly every aspect of my life. I didn’t really get through it, though. I’m still working on it.

I’m very glad you survived all that, and I’m also very sorry. I don’t know what else to say.

I never got any time off of work and generally did pretty well in 2020., Now I’m still working nonstop but also really struggling to pay my bills. 2023 was worse for my family, no question.

I got laid off in 2019 and bought a school bus to convert into a motorhome. 2020 passed me by almost without notice - I was doing the same shit I would have done anyway.
