The funny part is that all a Socratic gadfly can do is prove you wrong using your own logic. When you enter into the realm of descriptions of reality, the gadfly would need to assert better evidence for an alternative position to actually win. You can’t gadfly most scientifically supported positions, as science only works to be better than alternatives.
