They make large jetski for cruising. I’ve seen one 18’ long that a couple were taking on a couple week tour. They’d camp on a beach if they didn’t make it to a marina. It was boat you sat on top instead of in. Seemed pretty silly to me, but adventurous.

Still slow and 18’ is not much better and probably slower.
Sounds like you’re a real salty dog. I guess slow is relative. Jetski’s are definitely slower than an airplane and at 7 knots a sailboat is way faster than a toddler can crawl.
