While other areas have adopted the election model in recent years, Oregon is the first state in which the Legislature approved sending the question to voters.

Oregon voters will decide next year whether to implement ranked choice voting for all state and federal elections, according to a new law enacted by the Legislature.

    As an Oregonian, I have been campaigning for this, writing reps, senators, and joining in at the Capitol (I live like 10 mins from it) to get this started here. I’m so so happy that we’ll get a chance to vote on it. I’m planning on doing some educational events in the area, like setting up a booth at a farmer’s market to explain it to voters, putting up fliers, etc.
