As much as I love the original run, it’s not like it was groundbreaking in premise or execution even in the 90s. Nowadays the entertainment comes from like 30% nostalgia and 70% the unreplicable chemistry between Mulder and Scully. Even the 2010s reboot, which had everything going for it, failed to capture that feeling.
