When you actively participate in an apartheid state that is committing genocide against another people, and refuse to fight against it, are you really innocent? If you just don’t care what your government does to innocent people - bombing families, detaining thousands of minors without any legal recourse, stealing land, depriving people of livelihoods and movement - how innocent can you really be?
Yes, I do pity the children. That is why Israel’s actions are so much worse. They are inflicting so much more suffering on children.
Israel has to stop the genocide. If they don’t promote justice, they will never have peace. Unfortunately, I think the Israeli government is happy to accept all this violence in exchange for the possibility of eliminating all the Palestinians and stealing their land.

It’s hard for me to not think along those lines every time. Israel is just stealing land and bombing civilians.
