We want to wish you all a great new year! We also want to look back on 2023 and the amazing things that have happened here on Lemmy.World and the rest of the Lemmyverse.
We couldn’t have begun to dream of the amazing community we have built here. The self-destruction that has been happening on Reddit has been the opportunity of a lifetime to create an amazing community here. We hope everyone who migrated over has found a great place to share, scroll and upvote here on Lemmy.

Doesn’t seem like an unreasonable rule to me. Maybe in place to prevent power users from controlling flow of articles for any kind of agenda or clout?
That was the reasoning, yes. Also the user in question was posting the full text ripped from the articles, which is… not good. So no, it isn’t a terrible rule at all.
I’m just saying not every community allows posting however much you want. 😊

In this instance (a good vibes thread where people are wishing everyone well and thanking others for their efforts over the past year) it might be seen as gauche to use this space to grumble about some technical minutiae.
That seems a tad far-fetched 😅, even though that adage is freaking golden; I love it. Gonna use that more, I think. Plenty of opportunities…
