Do they have reverse osmosis systems that are more apartment friendly? I’ve seen them at Home Depot but they’re like things you need to connect to the plumbing.
Basically what beckerist said. They’re easier to install than one might think. Maybe give that a try. Buying drinking water is likely more expensive than a nice filtering system.
I have to buy my water cuz even when ran through a good filter, my tap water tastes like a pool. It shouldn’t taste like anything!

I also suffer from excellent quality, terrible tasting tap water. Tastes like Dasani, even filtered. Sparkling water in cans it is, I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
