    The real world was supposed to be the certification test. If you/your family were not good enough, your progeny would either not survive or be less fit to continue the line.

    This system may restore itself in due time. Gotta wait and watch.

      in “due time” would probably be thousands of years, if we’re assuming natural selection is the main drive of family lines ending in modern society. but the first world is a society where fucked up parenting is highly valued, it’s important to our overlords that a bunch of poor, broken, desperate people are churned out so they can exploit them for as cheap and easily as possible. healthcare & education is mostly either inaccessible or extremely hard to get (even in many places with advanced universal or free healthcare, it can be a challenge to get proper treatment for something that’s not an immediate visible threat to your life). this is especially a problem in countries that aren’t european. so we will keep having a large portion of familes consist mostly of dysfunctional parenting, for as long as corporatism can sustain.
