I was in elementary school in 85 and I vividly remember talking about how computers were amazing at computational tasks, but still unable to surpass humans in logic and prediction.
It’s crazy that when I was a kid the chess bots were more like the first panel. That’s how much progress we’ve made in my lifetime.
