Advocacy for the rights of black people was a strong theme throughout Deegan’s career, including during his position as Tenement House Commissioner.
Yeah. Deegan seems like the kinda guy that at least deserves having a thing named after him. Meanwhile here in NY we also have a park named after TFG, and he threatened to take the land back if the state renames it…
