WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected appeals from three Republican U.S. House members who challenged fines for not wearing face coverings on the House floor in 2021.

The justices did not comment on leaving in place $500 fines issued in May 2021 to U.S. Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Ralph Norman of South Carolina.

Throw tantrum against dress code designed to fight an active pandemic.

Fly off the handle and have an emergency vote when a senator wears a hoodie to work.

    Yep.

Different chambers, but that’s basically it. These people are stuck in the 19th century.

It’s all self aggrandizing bullshit. Pretty much the entire system is designed around making very unimportant people feel important. And i mean that all the way down to the local courts.

You’ve just hit the button, that is precisely why the US was created. There wasn’t some British threat, taxation wasn’t higher, and citizens of the colonies had more representation in Parliament than people living in the UK. In short, it was all a lot of propaganda that we still spout today and what people really wanted was to be greedy and have all the power themselves.
