I played Minecraft for an hour a million years ago and at the time it was basically digital LEGO. Since then I’ve gathered it has a campaign mode or something, but my entire experience with it is creative mode or whatever, when it was accessed and played via a web browser.

And yeah, I’m aware lots of adults play or played minecraft. I still play with LEGO. But that fact doesn’t mean that calling LEGO a children’s toy is wrong.

Also I’ve been active online since the early 90s; 15 years does feel like comparative internet infancy to me.

I disagree in some ways, but really I just thought it was funny calling Minecraft players Internet toddlers. Pretty sure the youths moved on to Fortnite or something like that

Yeah maybe. I dunno, everything looks like a skateboard when I’m shaking my cane from the rocker on my front porch

It’s still just a Lego sandbox, but there are monsters and “progression.” I always ignore it. It doesn’t add much to the Lego sandbox for me. I only progress far enough to get the glider wings because that’s actually a fun mechanic. The balance and everything is kinda wack anyway. The Wither boss is ridiculous and I’m a Fromsoft fanboy.
