    Makes me wonder if the UT would translate beltalang to normal english or not. I’m guessing not since the UT didn’t translate the future trading pidgin when Discovery goes to the future.

      The UT works just like all the rest of Federation tech does: just well enough to not kill the crew… most of the time (remember when the crew of the Enterprise-D created an artificial lifeform as complex as a Soong-type android just by asking the holodeck to make one?)

      That’s what you get from letting the “Hold my beer and watch me invert these tachyons” planet be a founding member. Side note, I bet 24th century monster truck rallies are absolutely bitchin.
