I’m not sure if you haven’t seen Wolf in the Fold, but Spock is making the computer intentionally malfunction to get an alien that’s taken over out of it.
Also, Scotty kills a couple of ladies while he’s under its influence. I get that it wasn’t him who did it, but he’s lucky TOS was episodic or that would have given him some crazy PTSD.
That is true, although it also preached peace over violence and, a lot of the time, violence was a last resort solution. Which was pretty amazing for the 1960s.
This kills the M-5
And breaks Dr. Daystrom’s heart :(
Different episode.

That alien is also Jack the Ripper.
It’s a weird episode.
Oh, right. Then it runs around, disembodied, laughing maniacally. Creepy.

Starfleet Engineers and PTSD, name a more iconic duo.
Yeah, I have it on my Star Trek Creeps playlist. Fun episode.
TOS was kind of horror sci-fi a lot of the time. It was violent and scary quite often, and much more than almost any other Trek series.
That is true, although it also preached peace over violence and, a lot of the time, violence was a last resort solution. Which was pretty amazing for the 1960s.
Hmmm, odd how often they came to the “last resort”…
I mean… it was still a TV show.
And by weird you clearly mean, cool as hell!
I’m pretty sure that was the cause of the supernova that destroyed Romulus.
Spock had to destroy Romulus in order to save it. And then failed to save it.
