I’ve watched the full speech and it touched on a lot of interesting points and, IMO, spread blame fairly between Netanyahu, Hamas, and Israeli right wingers. My main concern with his advocated solution is the time an election would take to execute - there are Palestinians starving and if we allow Netanyahu to continue his governance through an election many innocents will die.
So that’s my concern - his speech mentioned that if Netanyahu is reelected, we should cut off support… that implies not cutting off support until the election happens.
I agree that the US needs to end its complicity and I am concerned this speech will be used as a delaying tactic.
I’m certain that this is a delaying tactic to get us to the other side of the US election so the administration can immediately drop all pretense of being in any way displeased with Netanyahu’s genocide.

Until then, there’s no reason we should be complicit. We shouldn’t be sending them money or selling them weapons or sticking up for them at the UN.
