This one’s a little more niche but I played Homefront: The Revolution for the first time last summer. I remember thinking the trailer looked awesome back in ~2012 but was a broke teen and couldn’t afford a new game. Then I saw the reviews and how bad it supposedly was. Maybe it’s just that I had forgotten the marketing of the game and it wasn’t a “new” release that I paid $60 for (I think it was like $4 on Steam sale), but I had a blast. It was definitely worth a couple weekends of fun.
