Like why do they care how many times I go to porn hub every day or that nothing gets me harder than a free use MILF? Why do they care that I don’t know how to spell consistency so I have to Google it every 3 months.
What the fuck is wrong with people?
Money.
Your data can help sell you stuff. If they know you’re into MILFs, they can sell advertising to the MILF companies. Then you see a bunch of MILF ads. The more they know, the more they can target you. Eventually we’ll have ads in our dreams like in Futurama.
Jokes on you, he probably already has MILF dreams!
Upgrade those MILFs to GILFs with this one weird trick!
You know, knowing advertising algorithms, expect a lot of mistakes like that in your dreams, thanks to the users-like-you-also-like thing they do. “Thirsty GILF scatporn near you!”-- the future is bleak.
But golden showers sound so optimistic!
I’m still not convinced that this actually works, or at least not in a way that justifies the expense.
Maybe it’s because of GDPR, but the kind of ads I see and the products I would even consider to buy don’t overlap very much. Case in point: I’m a man in my 30 and get bombarded with female beauty products (almost aggressively marketed at women). Why would that expense of ad budget make sense? Sure, I might buy a lipstick for my partner, but is that worth that much ad budget?
These are multi-billion dollar businesses backed by the greatest minds in the world trying to trick people into buying shit. I’m pretty sure they work. You are not immune to propaganda.
That doesn’t prove anything.
There are also billions invested in Bitcoin, yet nothing in that world actually works.
It doesn’t matter if it works or not, there is a market for it, so people/companies pay for it.
A lot of this is about selling promises of clicks or customers, and to be convincing they need to surveil everyone and boast with the amount of data they have.
Many people buy in crypto currencies, just because of promises. At some point this bubble will burst, question is when.
I’m also a 30 something man with a partner, and I buy her clothes fairly regularly. So I guess on average it might be worth the expense, but case by case, it might not.
